World super-heavyweight champion Roberto Cammarelle ended David Price's Olympic tournament, destroying the Scouser in just over three minutes of their semi-final match.
Price was stopped at 9-0 down after shipping a big left hook at 1:11 of the second round.
6' 8" Price endured a terrible first round as Italian Cammarelle motored forward with bad intentions. The Italian swept the session 5-0, including a meaty left hook which Price took flush, forcing him to endure a standing eight count.
Things simply got worse in the second round, a situation exacerbated by Price seeming gun shy, tentatively poking away with a weak jab off the back foot.
Cammarelle was 8-0 to the good when he smashed home a left hook leaving a forlorn Price sitting on the ropes.
Referee Roberto Servide of Argentina waved off the contest at 1:11 of the second round.
Cammarelle marches on and Price has to settle for a bronze medal.
